DTN is seeking a Sr. Director, Product with an exceptional track record of success and leadership to help lead the company through its next phase of profitable growth in Weather and Climate SaaS. Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute a pragmatic plan against this strategy within the Product Management function using a consistent, structured, data driven approach for market analysis, competitive differentiation and product level business plans. Evaluate build, buy and partner options, prioritized across the portfolio of opportunities that address legitimate customer needs and value.
• Define and prioritize product features and enhancements based on market research, customer feedback, vertical input, and competitive analysis.
• Design for customer value, customer growth, and margin.

Background and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience with at least one of the components of the Unified Forecast System and/or its applications
• Fluency in FORTRAN, C++, MPI, python, bash scripting, Git
• Extensive experience with open source projects with hundreds of developers
• Working experience with CI/CD pipelines and configuration management
• Experience working at Weather Operational or Research Centers of excellency, with focus on modeling or data assimilation for the atmospheric, land or oceanic subcomponent
